My 12 Hour Walk

I completed a 12 Hour Walk yesterday alone with no music, no phone, nothing except my mind, my feet and a lot of snacks and water. I started at 5am with the beautiful Lunar eclipse to send me off and keep me entertained over an hour with a game of hide and seek. The moon won.

The journey took me across 5 city limits, well over 20 miles (and I went slow!), 46,596 steps, lots of journaling, multiple thoughts of bailing and asking myself "what the heck are you doing!?".

But, I let the Possible Mindset endure and had an awesome day seeing my city in a different way. I watched my town wake up! I watched the sunrise. I watched the sun start to set ironically coming home on the same street it rose from but on the opposite side. I found new lakes. I appreciated every single bench I found for much needed rests! I listened to nature and noticed details like never before. I journaled and had multiple personal revelations. It was a GREAT day even with blisters trying to form, crippling calf cramps and finishing the day with aching from the hips down!

This journey was inspired by Colin O'Brady's book #12HourWalk that was gifted to me by some awesome friends (Jen / Thomas). Colin's story is one that had multiple setbacks in life but it never stopped him to come back stronger and more persistent to do amazing things which awarded him 10 World Records! 🤯 This is what he dubs as the #PossibleMindset

I am proud of myself for committing to this and completing it! I loved the solitude that I had and time to journal. I continue to find new personal challenges that teach me AND excited for all the new challenges to come! Thank you all for the support and encouragement!

WHO IS NEXT!?!

My feet were aching but my soul was filled with my husband greeting me at the finish line playing the rocky theme song!
