Fiji Fun
Fiji has been our happy place for a number of years now. This year the island and our fijian family continued to show us why we love this little slice of paradise so much.
CULTURE
The Fijians are the happiest and most welcoming culture we’ve come across. It’s nice returning to our favorite island where you’re greeted by name, hugs, high fives and the most uplifting smiles. And this same warmth happens every day you’re there. It’s a family environment and we adore and appreciate everyone on the island for making it the magical destination for us.
HEALTH
You can’t ask for a healthier location for the family. The fish is freshly caught every day and every meal is delicious. The activities to leave your body exhausted are endless. there’s no way you can make it a day without your muscles asking for a break… but you don’t want a break because the waves are staring you in the face begging you to get wet, grab a board and send it! my shoulders are still barking but happy!
Tyler and lee foiled every day together which made my heart so happy. I started off sticking to yoga and pilates but got the nerve up to get on a board and see how surfing felt post surgery. Magically it felt amazing — I only wish I grabbed a board on day 1 so I had more time to work on my skills. At any rate it was perfect and I am so appreciative of my coach and the ocean for treating to so well.
FAMILY
I am grateful for a beautiful week as a family on namotu and over Thanksgiving. Watching Tyler continue to excel in a tough watersport alongside his Dad is the best gift I could ask for. And spending it with new friends and and island we adore together never gets old. we will be back next year, of course!
