Lee’s 50th!
WOW… if there is any way to celebrate a milestone birthday at a destination with friends, WE DID IT RIGHT! We planned an epic week and masterfully delivered an over the top 3 days in Aspen with close friends, including our personal chef. If that doesn’t say bougie, keep reading!
The weekend wasn’t without some challenges but with the right attitude and dashes of tenacity everything turned out in some cases for the best. Aspen, CO has a difficult airport so when it snows the planes have a difficult time arriving and taking off which we endured going in and out. and one of our four AirBNBs decided to ghost us which led us to scramble and fit into just the 3 airbnbs which turned out to be doable only because one flight into ASPEN WAS CANCELEd and 4 of our guests couldn’t make it. Such a bummer!
We welcomed everyone on Valentine’s day with a beautiful sushi dinner at Madame Ushi. The atmosphere was sexy, chic and our long table of 22 was filled with friendship, beauty and delicious food. In true Lee fashion, he surprised me with a gift on his birthday! I always try to celebrate him and go over the top for HIM but again, he spoiled me with the most beautiful diamond ring! I am spoiled, and loved!
Saturday was our long haul of a day that required energy and planning! We started the day in the morning with a silly ski session together at my FAVORITE mountain ever, Buttermilk!! What a fun session, I’ve never skied with friends before so it was a treat!
Silly Skiers at Buttermilk
Then we rested our ski legs, showered and got ready for a long afternoon and evening of amazing music! We filled our bellies with charcuterie and champagne then walked a block from our airbnb (perfect location thank you!) to the St. Regis to dance in the snow! What a treat to dance with your closest buddies, dressed in fun fur coats and hats and dance with big fat snowflakes falling on your face! EPIC.
PARTY 1: Alesso at the St. Regis Courtyard
PARTY 2: Damante in the Jade Room with bottle service
PARTY 3: Bob Moses at Belly Up
Our crew threw down and conquered this long haul of a day!
Miraculously we survived and many woke early to hit the slopes! We all stuck to the itinerary and met at Cloud 9 for a mid mountain lunch and champagne party that nobody could imagine until experienced! we dined on a seafood tower and fondue with our bottles of dom perignon while listening to music and that is just the warm up! The DJ comes on and says “5 minutes” as a warning to secure your clothing.
Then all of a sudden its a champagne shower party!!! some leave drenched and love it!! We were all dancing on our chairs, drinking champagne and loving the crap out of life with such amazing people! We are blessed!
We all made it down the mountain safely!~
The day and evening continued and the itinerary expanded. We had a chef prepared family style dinner at our airbnb which was supposed to be a casual finale of a grand weekend… however Aspen had more plans for us! The city has so much entertainment and music to offer so we ponied up and went out to another party to see DJ Bedouin at the St. Regis with only maybe 100 guests. It was the grand finale of a truly epic weekend with epic people.
