    Lee and I will enter into the desert again to thrive in the dust in our beautiful RV surrounded by friends and strangers all with amazing souls and crazy outfits!

Recently Completed Challenges

  • Chastain 100

    I completed 100 miles in under 45 days on my feet walking around town, on treadmills, in Peru, in airports and other cities. The result: shin splints but my first physical challenge post surgery!

  • September 2024 - Machu Picchu

    My first hiking excursion post surgery deserves to be listed as a challenge! Hiking not only to and around the historial site but also to Sun Gate above Machu Picchu on the Inca Trail.

    From September 1st - October 15th, 2023 the goal was to complete 100 miles. I joined late on Sept 18th but still clocked in the mileage and finished on Oct. 6th. Perfect training for Bhutan!

  • Burning Man 2023

    Burning Man: When the Rains Came

    My first Burning Man and rains came and turned into a survival of the fittest! Lee had surgery that I couldn't miss so I hiked out 2.5hrs barefoot in mud and hitchhiked to Reno!

  • 29029 Everesting

    JULY 2023 - 29029 Jackson Hole

    36 hours to climb 29,029 feet; the equivalent height of Mt. Everest. I am doing the Jackson Hole event in July that will require 19 laps up to complete the challenge.

Last Adventure…

I underwent spinal surgery on April 9th, 2024. I had to cancel 29029 and other planned physical challenges as my back decided to change the severity of pain due to a structural instability and lack of disc between Lumber 4&5.

  • No disc (created bone on Bone rubbing)

  • Pars Defect (bilateral fracture in facet joint that creates an Unstable spine)

  • Grade 2 Spondylolithesis (my vertebrae literally move and rub bone on bone)

My Current Fitness Obessions

Pilates

I love the workout Stellar Bodies in Atlanta provides. It is a full body workout to help build lean muscles and a strong core with fabulous instructors!

Hot POWER YOGA

Sweat, Stretch and mindfulness! Hot power yoga with friends and awesome instructors to round out the week’s fitness.

HIIT WORKOUTS

I’m added back in Fast Twitch hiit workouts into rotation! With some moderations to protect my low back, etc but still a great workout for strength and burning calories.
