POEM: Untitled

Circa 2000’s

I am caught in your sweet breath

and gently float with the essence of your words

Free, flourishing and feeling so much

You captivate me

I kiss you.

My feet are four inches above the floor, yet I do not fly.

The ground has fallen with jealousy

It, too, wants to wrap itself around you

Be closer to you than your own skin.

Legs, arms, lips ... my silky ribbons

Wrap around you like the gift you are

With a tag written out to me

Then I know you were mine.
